I rec'd the info. today, thanks to Lesego. I really do appreciate all of you who tried to help me, THANKS!

I'm not sure why my email inquiries were not responded to prior to Lesego becoming involved, so to international visitors for whom calling is expensive, should we just come to the Forums first for help, or do you think their problems with email at the Finance division can be sorted out in the future?

Bottom line, the Forum really goes above and beyond to help out with glitches. Kudos to the Mods and Lesego!

I just want to end this thread by giving well deserved compliments to DuQues, Dotty, Duke, MATTHYS, Lesego, and Nedret for all their efforts to help me. Some of them were behind-the-scene efforts, on a personal level, as well. I know there are others whose names are not known to me within the SanParks organization who also contributed to the effort.

I believe this is one of the best "Customer Support" responses I have ever had from ANY company, and my hat's off to each of you, as well as to SanParks.

WELL DONE!!!

I just want to mention here that I called the number that Lesego provided after making a new reservation, and it took all of 30 seconds to have the credit on my previous reservation transferred to the new reservation. Great service! :thumbs_up: :clap:

Hi,

I have slow been making changes to our accommodation for our trip in a couple of months’ time using the online booking system. I am still hoping we might get lucky with a day or two in Urikaruus, Kieliekrankie or Grootkolk :pray: but the reality is that we are likely to end up in credit for more than R1000 (it is currently nearly R1500).

Does anyone know what happens to the ‘credit’ if I do not use it for this trip? (it is a first for me! :doh: )

Can I book drives or walks over the phone using this credit?

Hi :D

Yes you can use it for activities, and book those over the phone or by email etc. As long as you give your client code and the trip's reservation number, they will pick up the reservation and the credit.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the online reservation credit at the restaurant at Twee Rivieren and/or the shops in the park?
Or if it is possible to get the amount booked back onto the credit card?
As by now several thousand Rand accumulated on our account, we cannot use it up with the activities we plan to book.
And we don't know if we can go to South Africa next year.

Email Reservations and ask them to refund your credit amount and to credit your credit card.

gb225450, please do not worry if you are loosing 1500 Rand, just think of the beauty of ths incredible place. You'll never see something so incredible place.
I envy you a lot. For my next trip in Kgalagadi I must wait ten month.

Make another booking (for any park), and use the e-mail address or telephone no. in the quote below to transfer to fund to the new booking... (the new reservation will probably have to be made by telephone or e-mail, as the online system will not allow you to book without paying in full, and then you're in the same position again... :lol: )
