The Afrikaans translation for jacana is 'grootlangtoon' or directly translated as 'big long toe' and one can understand why... :hmz: :hmz:

Those hippo ears are comically cute in relation to the large bodies and 'big mouth'. Great one, Jan. :cam:

On my last visit to Lake Panic at the end of October, the weavers were busy collecting nesting material.
