Hi johanclassen.
Jip! Seems to be a Tawny-flanked prinia alright. With the help all these other 'mites' I turned into an instant genius on LBJ`s

Is this a Tawny Flanked Prinia.
It was seen at Lake Panic a few days ago.
Thanks.

Yes Val, nice pic.

Thanks BB.
Mom and Dad were feeding 2 chicks in a nest in the reeds by the Lake Panic hide.
I have to say it was Elsa who showed me the nest, and suggested the ID, as she had seen it a day or so before.
It was amazing to watch them bringing food.

Hi All,

Could you possibly ID this LBJ I photographed it in Letaba camp last December.

It was singing its heart out.

Tawny flanked prinia. How did you get him to keep his tail down?

Thanks once again Bush Baptist for your ID of my LBJ. I think I also have a photograph later in the trip at Panic Lake of a similar bird - this time with 'tail up'.

I saw this one near Sable Dam last October, really living up to it's name!

Saw this LBJ on a tree overhanging a small river on 20 June on the S41 / Satara area. Any help?
