Thanks Guys,

Lets keep it a bit scientific,

Fact or Myth:

If you skip a rock on water, the water surface is not broken at the point where the rock bounces? Thus the rock stays dry until it stops skipping.....

Myth... It touches water while it skips so I believe it will get wet where it bounces? :hmz:

False. I only recall stop lines at Skukuza turnoff and nearby. No central white lines and gravel roads definitely not.

That is false. White lines are however used in all Government buildings and is painted in the corridors. This prevents those that arrive late for work and those that go home early from walking into each other.

Thanks SL and - Rooies that is a good one. Here in the eastern cape they don't have much of that problem - they are forever absent from work especially some teachers!

I will have to think about this true and false question before I ask it. come back later today please.

TRUE OR FALSE? Some dung beetles breed in a dung heap.

Excellent Q, DP. It is true that the surface tension remains intact as the stone skips over it, but it will still pick up water molecules as it comes into contact with the water. So, myth.

Heksie.... Your IT

Like OWN said the surface tension will remain intact for long enough to let the stone bounce. Since no rock is perfectly smooth it will break the surface as it skips and will become a wet stone....

Sheenaugh Lee: Too easy! While some dung beetles lay their eggs in a dung ball and roll it away, others lay their eggs in or under the heap!..
  YOU ARE IT!
