we seem to be doing the same trip!

Have stayed in number 13 at Sirheni and yes number 14 does have a good view

Dear Caracal Queen :gflower: ,
many thanks.

Looks like you are also enjoying the North same as we do. The last time we have been there was mid to end of November 12. We had such excellent sightings. Elefants and buffalos in unbelievable numbers. But at that time it was very dry in the North and the animals had to use the left waterholes.

Greetings, have a wunderfull trip,
Brigitte

Hi 4umites

Help needed please, we are introducing Kruger to family who desperately needs a bush breakaway, what better location than beloved Kruger, 2 nights @ Olifants and 3 nights @ Satara. We are joining them a Olifants.

Got 2 x BG2 units, which 2 would you guys suggest wit best river view??

Thanx

Hi there KNP-Junkee

Wonderful to introduce friends to the park, sure it will be just what they need!

If you have a look at the Map you will see all the units and I would say #105 or 63 could be good ones with river views.
I have never stayed on that side of camp myself so going purely on what the map shows.

Also have a read through the Olifants Topic
sure you will pick up some great info and advice in there.

Enjoy!

Hi KNP-Junkee

How exciting to show Kruger to the family. Unfortunately the BG2 units do not have a river view. But if you want one that does not have to many bungalows in front of them, I should go for numbers 80 and 81. They just have one row (perimeter) bungalows in front of them and they are pretty far away. You can see some pic I posted in the Accommodation photos thread

Hello Carol

We stayed in number 18 and it was wonderful. We didn't have the view of number 14 but our view was just as good. You can have a look at some pictures in the accommodation thread. You will enjoy it, I'm sure of it. Enjoy and tell us all about it when you come back

Carol

It's view is great. Even the front view of the bush was fantastic, we saw lots of elephants and antelopes walking in the bushes. Never a dull moment. And although the river view was a bit to the left, it didn't bother us, we just turned the bench a bit so that we had a strait forward view

AND, there is a lovely mongoose family living right in front of number 18  Here is also a video of the view of number 18

Hi Carol

We haven't stayed in the BD2V units but if you look at this post, you will see which numbers are the closest. Hope it helps

Thanks roaneric and Elsa

Appreciate your input, we have secured units 62 and 63 :D at Olifants. In their opinion that is the two best located BG2's as it is close to the lookout deck. Hope it is not too noisy :?

Has anyone stayed in one of these units @ Olifants, pics would be super......

Thanks guys

Hi
Who knows what bungalow in the A circle at Satara is the best. I have booked a 13 but I'm not sure if 10 is better or maybe something else ?

I don't think it would make any difference. They are in the same circle and with almost the same view. But maybe someone who stayed in one of those bungalows can tell you more? Unfortunately I only have pictures of number 2 and you can also have a look at number 19

Enjoy your stay in Satara

Hi Roaneric

Thanks. I have stayed in them before but can't remeber where.
I want to try and keep traffic / people noise to a minimum, but it's also nice to be on the fence side close to the waterhole.

Hi Sky

Then I would choose numbers 10-13. I think they are the nearest to the fence and also away from the trafic that you will find around numbers 1-6. Enjoy

We are eventually going to Kruger again!

Please help with the best units to ask for in these locations:

1.Lower Sabie - EH5 hut (I am expecting a terrible location here, but see that there are a few of these units available, so I guess the best our of the lot?).

2.Satara GC6BD guest cottage (also not sure that there is much choice with this?).

3. Skukuza CTT4 safari tent (again...not one with fence view etc.?).

4. Berg-en-Dal FA6 family cottage (if possible perimeter view or revamped unit).

Thank you in advance :-)

Satara - GC6BD - stayed in one during December and loved it. One of the older circles and very established lots of trees and birds. An african wild cat came and sat and watched us have dinner on the stoep. The honey badger visits and there is a family of dwarf mongoose living in the middle of the circle so no perimeter but lots to see and very quiet part of the camp

I have just read your ACTUAL question - which was "which unit to ask for" - there are only 5 of theGC6BD at Satara and they are all at the back of the circle so there is really no "best" one
