Thought the LIT was a myth. Until I saw one during my last trip to Kruger. Hopefully will see more this time.

On my way back from Kruger. Saw 8 leopards in 8.5 days. Total forDecembrr is 25 and for 2012 is 62 leopords.

plus 2 more at Kgalagadi and 1 more Satara leopard

up to 6 now

I have no idea how many leopards I have seen over the past 50 years. But I do remember a few years ago I had 27 sightings in 9 days in the Kalagadi. Some of the sightings lasting over 2 hours. All the viewings took place in the Ayob river bed from TR to Mata Mata. One sighting was a mother and two teenagers playing and hunting on the 14th waterhole loop for nearly 3 hours. The last time I was in Kruger I had 6 sightings of leopard - three with kills. All were in the Skukuza area over a period of 7 days. Paul Kruger Gate road, S1, S65, S83, H4-1 (x2). Over the years I have seen quite a number of leopard on the S65 - with and without kills. It has also been a good road for wild dogs, lion, and cheetah.

Gosh, Thebi, that is superb! Rivalling the best, I see.

Have heard many more calling at night but no able to sight them , sooo frustrating.

It'll come, Crackers; one day you'll have a spate of leopards that will leave you reeling with disbelief! In any case, four in one trip to Kruger is a pretty good start.

Well, my prayers were answered

Had 2 reasonable sightings of Leopards near B & D.

And a 3rd, but that was literally a few cm of tail hanging out of a tree, so am not going to count that one.

Only 6, for yesterday afternoon, and this morning.

Up to 27 leopards seen in Kruger after 3 leopard sightings during my last two visits.
