If the legendary Dr Gus Mills can play cricket in the red sands of the Kalahari, surely you can too ... or at least come along and support us :D

Yip those were the days when we played on a conveyer belt as a pitch.. Actually thinking back that was great fun and I must admit that Dr Mills is one hell of a good player.

Well since those days we have upgraded to the professional cricket mats.

MM - We hope for a miracle, would be great having you here.

Looks great fun. When I play the ball normally ends up missing or in one of the dogs mouth. But that's what you get when you play cricket with a tennis ball and a spade.

If I do come, I want to play in Mark Boucher's position. It's wicket keeper or nothing. :naughty:

I wonder what the cost would be for a mini bus hire and lots of mites clubbing in :hmz: .

Thanks for the offer of a toothbrush, Hugh... I promise to return it in good condition

MM, I have read that Scipio would like to get a bus together and bring people up. Maybe chat to him.
Regarding Mark Bouchers position....you need to speak to Lize or PetraJ, they are putting the ladies teams together.

Hi there

When and where is the cricket? Will be in KTP (for the 5th time in 12 months) for 3 weeks in Feb/March.

Can't wait!

WOuld love to be there for the cricket too - despite being Australian and having to deal with all your (hopefully) good-natured jibes :)

I'm supposed to leave on the 12th or 13th I think... but what's an extra day or 2? It's quite easy to twist my arm (especially if someone puts a beer in it).

Will have a look and what else I have on, and see how my fruit and veg situation holds up. Might poss make it for at least Day 1. Is it in TR?

Not scared of this Scipio bloke :) (or should I be)?

Nah, I think he can be bought off with a beer or 3

Matches are being played on the Friday and Saturday just outside the park at Welkom ( the nearest local community) so it would be awesome if you could stay another couple of days and join us ... I am coming up to TR on the Sunday and am more than happy to bring you fresh fruit and veggies for the last week AND get together for a braai - with LOTS of beer if that will help you to stay

OK, that's a deal. A couple of apples, a tomato or 2 and a beer and it's sold. I'll book another couple of nts at TR and come and watch/play/cheer/advise/score the cricket.

Will be good to meet you and the others. I'm a long time lurker on the forum and an avid visitor to KTP, but met Myles and his son up there in Sep, so promised to be more involved this year.

 Great, its a deal !! Will promise to bring you up fresh stuff and anything else you need - just give me a shout and I'll see what I can do ...

Please let us know when its confirmed and we will rope you in to play/score/ whatever , thanks for the offer :D I'm so looking forward to meeting more people too .... considering I've been up to KTP 9 times in a little over 2 years, I haven't met that many Forumites either so this cricket is going to be great for that too !
