Morning all,

Sorry for the late reply, have been running around lately.

The picture indeed was that of a male Burchell's Sandgrouse - Gevlekte Sandpatrys.

Burchell's Sandgrouse is a species of bird in the Pteroclididae family. It is found in arid and semi-arid regions of southern Africa. The name of this bird commemorates the English naturalist William John Burchell.
