Afternoon,

It has come under the attention of Kgalagadi Management that guests uses 'Camera Traps' inside the park. Wilderness Camp attendants have been asked by guests to place the 'Cam Traps' at strategic places e.g. foot paths & waterholes.

Kindly take note that this willnot be allowed in the park.

The wilderness camp attendants will again be notified that this is not allowed.

If cam Traps wants to be used for research purposes, the necessary permission needs to be obtained.

The current camera traps being used in the KTP started off as to show guests what happens at the waterholes at night, the cam traps are now also being used in lion monitoring.

Guru what happened after 30 December 2012. I have now worked through this whole thread from day one. It felt like a marathon (a very nice marathon) and then I come to the end and it's gone....

Please tell me you just moved it. It's like reading a Who done it and finding that somebody removed the last chapter.

Due some unforseen incidents regarding Cam traps and after many meetings we decided that the cam traps used by SANParks will still be used as part of the monitoring of lions for an upcoming research project.

The cams are currently put out at Urikaruus, Leeudrill and Montrose. I have brought the cams in for a decent cleaning before it could be placed out again. The coming weekend I will collect the SD cards and start downloading the pics.

Guru if you weren't 24 (little bite young for me) I would kiss you. I have become a junky the last 24 hours. You know what they say about drugs it only takes one try to get you hooked well the same goes for Camera traps a la Guru.

See I did read this whole thread and I believe everything I read on the internet. Guru is now 25 because this was in 2011.

The posting (about the age)was just a joke....and wishful thinking from my side
