Some rainfall figures would be welcome , it is old news when it is eventually posted on the main website ?

Seeing this is a matter of interest to many of us keen weather watchers and those with an interest in conditions in KNP . what are the chances of the moderators arranging with scientific services that the section rangers daily figures get sent to (myself ?) someone to be posted here ?

It would be helpful to get an update whether any of the camps are affected to plan accordingly as we leave for Kruger this weekend.

That is a great idea Ndloti! Really hope someone takes notice! :D

I would love to have some rainfall figures for the north of KNP since the 1st of January. North of the Park was very dry when we were there at the end of December. In fact the north of Limpopo as a whole was terribly dry - we exited at Pafuri to go to Mapungubwe and it was shocking to see the condition of the veld all the way from Pafuri to Mapungubwe! Especially the western part of Mapungubwe was a terrible state! So rainfall figures for this Park would also be very welcome!

Havent seen any yet asked on twitter if there were any. I see that the KNP account on twitter has said most dirt roads in the North are closed due to the rain. Would be nice to have a more comprehensive update on here

Les will do her best to get reports here and on FB and Twitter but please remember she isn't in Kruger and people on the ground may have other priorities.

Just think about driving 600km's to watch the girls sport, and to find a pool instead of a Track.

But then, Kruger is close, so always an excuse.
