Thank goodness the photos are all sorted :D

After a 3hour fligt from Cape Town we landed in Neslpruit....got the hired car and made a beeline for Skukuza.
Arrived at camp....boy was it HOT  Thank goodness the aircon was on in our bungelow when we arrived. We unpacked quickly, went to the shop to stock up on food. Unpacked the goods and had our first cooldrink outside on the patio....aah we are home 8)
The river was flowing strong, everything was nice and green

Image
We did not feel like going out at all...just chilled at camp and enjoying being here :D

Had a "lekker' braai....sat out for a while but the mozzies were all coming out in full force, so off into the cool bungalow and sleep.

Woken up with this alarm "screaming'' Set it up for 7am as we did not want to rush out to Satara....while making coffee we hear this thundering sound on the roof....SO opened the curtains and saw it was Baboons chasing each other around on the roofs....one came onto the patio to see if there were something to eat...he/she got such a fright when SO upened the door that it took off and bit its mate
Had our first coffee, packed up and took a slow drive to Satara. On the low bridge we stopped for a while...this Thick Knee appeared and posed for us :D

ImageImage
Further on we saw this female...she was very alert and staring into the bushes....

Carried on.....
Geez more little ones....wow there were a lot of them along the road...
Image
While taking photos this little one came closer to see what this "'big thing'' is....
Image
Then he/she looked straight at me...ready to pose :)

Spend quite a long time at the 'nursary'
We turned to see if there were anything at leewpan...just a few water birds.
carried on to the next waterhole....also just a few birds....dicided to carry on...saw these
Spurwinged goose wading and feeding along the little stream
Image
Stopped at Tshokwane for breakfast.
Carried on towards Satara, as we got to Mazithi dam we saw some movement in the stream pass the dam...we could see something floating in the water and crocs twirling around....took a photo but a bit to far for a clear image....
ImageImage
The crocs were eating something but we could not see what animal it is :(

Now it started to rain....but it was still hot
Just before Nkaya pan we saw these little ones milling around on the tar...
ImageImage
Turned off onto the sand road towards Nkaya pan when we saw this snake on the road...
Image
Not much at the waterhole...a few Impala and some birds.
Got to Satara...had lunch...did some shopping for a few days.
We decided to stay in as it was now raining quite a bit. Just chilled, read our books and magazines :)
Will go out tomorrow 8)

Love those impies.

Looks also like a puffy. These snakes are rare sightings. Although creepy, one will enjoy them anyhow.

Thanks for sharing...(looking over your hood from the big green building) :hmz:

This mom was watching out while the little one was resting...
Image
Got to the end of the S100 when somebody told us that there were Lion cubs lying on the rocks just past the T-junction going towards Nwanetzi...saw only 2 cars standing at the spot..the cubs were sleeping not moving at all..one could just see them lying on the rocks.
Image
Decided to leave them as they were not going to move...
By now we were getting hungry...geez never eat so early at home
Decided to carry on to the picnic site.
At one of the streams these little family were waddling on the edge...too cute!
ImageImage
mom taking them for a swim...
Image
Got to the picnic spot for breakfast...geez it is getting really hot! After breakfast we went on the tar back to camp as it is now very hot...going for a swim :D
And for a snooze 8)
