We were wondering who had killed the Springhare, and we guessed that it might have been a Giant Eagle Owl…..

Larger ViewWe met some good friends on the road who were moving up to Grootkolk and after a nice little breakfast at Dikbaardskolk we were on the upper dunes road leaving the Nossob River behind.
Here we spotted some Oryx youngsters. Mum and dad were lying in the shade, but the youngsters were curious.

Larger ViewAfter we had dinner and enjoying a glass of wine sitting outside, we herd something at the waterhole.
We checked with binoculars and couldn’t believe our eyes.
There was an Eland herd having a drink, we roughly counted 40-50 animals.
It was unbelievable, unfortunately the waterhole is a bit too far away for any good photos.
But at least you can see they were there
