Hi, my daughter is coming from Durban/East London road to Addo Normally we come to Addo through the N2 from Tsitsikamma Any idea with current road conditions if the strecht Durban Addo with a stopover in East London can be done in 2 days? or does she need to plan an extra stop between Port Edward/East London I don't think we can change Addo / Gardenroute park nights Any info highly appreciated! Thanks

Hi The rad throught he Transkei will be busy but if she goes carefully, she'll be fine. The N2 was closed just outside Nanaga thanks to a sinkhole but they have since completed the bypass and the N2 is now fully passable. You can do Durbs to Addo in a day, it's a very long day but if you have a 2nd driver, it's very do-able. However, if you want to, rather take a break halfway.
Thanks that sounds good. She is doing a N2 roadtrip from Durban to Cape stopping, camping and sleeping in the Parks along the route. Addo, Tsitsikamma Natures Valley, Knysna Diepwalle, Bontebok

We did Addo to Durban in a day 2 years ago, although a long day, we still had plenty of time to set up etc.
We als did Diepwaller camping decks on the same trip. Take cable ties for your guy ropes and be wary of the baboons. They really got into our stuff, thankfully we had no food stuff in the tent. Our neighbours' tent was ripped by them to get to their food.
Please report back on Diepwalle - we would like to go back if the service has improved. The location is amazing, but our bins weren't cleaned once in the 5 nights we were there last time.
I'm sure it's going to be a wonderful trip.
