In the mammal group we have bulls and cows, buck and doe. In birds we have a cock and a hen etc. Why do we call the poor reptiles just a male or female? I watched programme on dstv and there they call a male croc a bull. Is there such a thing as a bull or a cow croc?

Me neither. Perhaps it is just those Southerners in the USA. Some of them have such a funny pronunciation of English that the TV people had to use sub-titles for us to understand what they are saying.

 Rooies. After they have hatched they can probably be called Chicks and Dudes but I think it is safer to call them Sir and Madam when a person wants to have a closer look when they are grown up.

In all the books I have about Kruger or where Crocodiles are discussed, they are referred to as male or female. :D
