Its probably only 200 or 300 meters of soft sand to the campsite, and I wont want the stress of tackling that final stretch at a higher speed just to make it. A sedan might not make it, but a 2x4 bakkie might just make it

Yes, you can camp there without doing the wilderness route, and you can stay as long as you want at the site.

Ecospook - you need to book to camp at Polentswa through the Botswana Department of Wildlife and National Parks. You also need to obtain a permit to enter the Botswana side at the Twee Rivieren gate.

Hi Kgalagadi Guru / Jan,

We are planning a trip to Botswana and on the return visit Kgalagagi (again!).

We plan to enter via Kang at the Kaa gate on our way to Nossob and Bitterpan.

What is the correct procedure in respect of bookings and entry permits?

Thanks,

Spikes / Pieter Hugo

Sorry but email dwnp@gov.bw, seems is not working. I wrote four times to that email and I received four email error messages.
Any other email available to book in Botswana side?
Many thanks.
Luca.

Seems with capital letters (DWNP@gov.bw), the email is working.
I just wrote ten minutes ago and no error message received.
I'm waiting for Botswana email reply.

The link (http://www.mewt.gov.bw/DWNP/article.php?id_mnu=194) twenty minutes ago was working, Now is not working.

Thanks for helping and bye.
Luca/Italy.
