Adrian, yup we got loads of photos. Non too great to brag about but good enough to id the bird.

Most photos are posted on SA Rare Birds Facebook group.

I will only be able to post some of mine later this afternoon.

Yip, like WTM said; got a few record shots, but nothing great. Here is one of my 'better' shots from this morning. Definitely enough to see it's a Ficedula.

Bateleur??? no, a Hooded vulture, if any, yes.

It seems a lot of rare birds are frolicking locally,
who knows maybe this one too!!!?? Hah, maybe
our pastures are greener on this side!!
It cannot be made more or less for that matter but it can be altered to suit.- The universe.

Well Done to all the guys who got the Collared Flycatcher! I'm hanging on till friday before I get a chance to see it....

My trip to the Eastern Capri-vi netted me 26 Lifers taking me up to 588. Some great birding in that area I must say!

Lifers were:
Slaty Egret -- Chobe
Booted Eagle -- Zambezi
Red Billed Spurfowl -- Chobe
African Finfoot -- Zambezi
Allen's Galinule -- Zambezi
Lesser Jacana -- Zambezi
Long Toed Lapwing -- Zambezi

African Skimmer -- Zambezi
Meyer's Parrot -- Chobe
Schalow's Turaco -- Zambezi
Coppery Tailed Coucal -- Zambezi
White-Browed Coucal -- Chobe
Grey Rumped Swallow -- Zambezi
Hartlaub's Babbler -- Zambezi
Greater Swamp Warbler -- Zambezi
Laupula Cisticola -- Zambezi
Chirping Cisticola -- Zambezi
Copper Sunbird -- Kasane
Northern Grey Headed Sparrow -- Kazangula Border post
Brown Firefinch -- Zambezi
Southern Brown Throated Weaver -- Zambezi
House Martin -- Zambezi
Collared Palm-Thrush -- Kasane
Swamp Boubou -- Zambezi
Sand Martin -- Zambezi

Now I need some good fortune and a cooperating Flycatcher.... :pray: :rtm:

Kraalkop Nature Reserve the weekend - got me 2 ticks, Lazy Cisticola and at last, Verreaux's Eagle :dance: My total 458. :D
