Have a safe trip and wonderful visit to KTP

Hello from Germany,

its only a few days left until my second KTP trip for this year and I need some help.

Starting in Cape Town we prefer the N7 and then change to R27, read about the S&G on that route, will be not so bad I guess.

More interesting for us, anyone just used the R31 from the park to Kuruman, AA says its in a bad condition, does anyone have actual informations about the actual road conditions?

Hope to see some of you next week in Kgalagadi.

If the R 31 you refer to in your posting is the VanZyls Rus road then I would not suggest using that road...too many guests complaining about the road. The time you would drive through Upington to KTP would be just as long as the mentioned route.

It is true that the 16th is a Sunday and then a Public holiday on 17th December so I will stick with the Calvinia / Keimoes route. We will leave an hour earlier than expected - as we have to get from Cape Town to Kielie Krankie on the 16th.

See you guys in the park - driving a hired car (white ix35 Hyundai).
