Here is another image of the breeding pair of Marsh Harriers from my last weekend to the WNP. They are raising a juvenile in the reeds in front of the Abrahamskraal hide.

Summer in WNP always brings a large number of Flamingos. This image was shot in from the Geelbek hide during the morning. In terms of settings I am now underexposing by -1 in tis case to ensure that I don't blow the whites. It has an added advantage in that I gain 3 stops in terms of shutter speed. My lens of choice is the Nikon 600mm with the 1.7 extender. I am happy with the sharpness even with the extra glass.
