Any official feedback on the opening of the Balule low water bridge. The second due date was 15 November and feedback received from other mites was that the game driving vehicles already use the bridge.

Thanks Martin!

I assume the public is not allowed to drive over the Gravel 'bridge' that's shown in the picture? :hmz:

i don't think that they allow it. actually only the game drives are allowed to pass is, but they are driving very carefully. On the picture you can't see it but there is a high difference between the road and the gravel bridge.

EDIT: just had a look through my pictures and found 2 other

Martin and Chacma

Thanks for the feedback. Its however very disappointing to see that so little work has been done on the bridge considering that most roads were open by 15 June including Biyamiti weir, which is of similar structure.

Why all the delays or is it not important to give access to Balule residence to Olifants camp where one must book in. At first it was promise earlier then September and thereafter 15 November, but still not fixed except for a gravel bridge.

I hope provision will be made that one can at least hook off your caravan at Balule before heading to Olifants camp to book in and that vistors to Balule are allowed to cross next month. If its safe to drive guest over the bridge in SANPArks vehicle it must be safe for guest in their own vehicle. :hmz:

leopard74 we will be camping and definitely come and meet you at Balule after Xmas.
