Hi Tedredrum,
I love your pre-TR so far. Nice sightings, especially the Otter

I hope you have even more wonderful sightings this year :gflower:

Daron!

Thanks for your kind words earlier...I wouldn't mind being kidnapped to Kruger with my camera (especially if my park and accomodation fees will be paid for )

You must be excited with so few days left before your trip. We will be in the bush around the same time with me leaving for KTP on Saturday morning very early.

Enjoy it and I will be checking back on this TR when you are back home and posting some images from your trip.

Hi Morkel,

Thanks for joining. I hope the family is well! I'd gladly take care of the fees to be under your tutelage for a while. Enjoy your trip. I hope to add KTP to my next trip. It looks like an amazing place.

The Otter was indeed a very special sighting Tedredrum! We haven't seen one in the Park yet.

Your pictures of the general game are superb, especially those cute little Squirrels!

Thank you Hilda. The otter sighting came after 4 hours of driving around Lower Sabie and finding virtually nothing. We were headed back to camp and decided to drive over the bridge in the off chance somethong good was happening. What a great decision that was!

Take care,

Daron

Trrp-trrrrrrr,

Thanks for staying with me here. I had hoped to spend today packing, but instead was at a funeral all day long. Not a fun day....

Hopefully tomorrow I will get rolling with the packing.

How long does it take for a Heksie to wake up?
Looks like 7 whole pages long hey :slap:
Now why didn't I tune in earlier man... I really did enjoy all your kiekies and can't wait till our congregate meet
So not only is porridge and SO coming to Satara on 27 November but also you
We are having a first forum birthday at Satara in the history of the forum
I have calculated that we should meet each other at 11:30 which would be enough time for you guys from Shing
Now I would love to know which birdhide is on page 2? :hmz:
And your leppie kiekies are superb
Golden kitties are always a top priority for me and the one chowing on the carcass also makes me very
Lovely birdy kiekies! like the woodpecker and close up of the starling
REally enjoying your TR

Heksie,

Thanks for joining! 7 pages isn't too bad. It took me 49 pages to catch up with Wendy's Easter TR.....

Don't know if we will make it to Satara on the 27th. I am one person in a group of 8 and will be at the mercy of some other people, but will certainly try. If not at Satara we will meet somewhere else during our stay.

Well we are down to three days now. We leave Los Angeles on Thursday November 22nd, which is Thanksgiving Day here in the USA. Traditionally it is a time for families to get together and celebrate and be thankful for the blessings they have with a huge turkey dinner. I love Thanksgiving dinner!!!!

So when we booked our flights we selected a flight that left at 2100 hours. That would give us plenty of time to spend the day with the family, stuff ourselves, and then go into a food coma for the 1st leg of the trip, which happens to be 11 hours to Frankfurt this time around.

A while after booking we received a notice from the airline that the flight time had been changed from 2100 to 1800 hours. Not ideal, but still workable for an early meal. A short time later we received another notice that the departure had been moved up again. Now it is at 1350 hours. For an international flight check in is 3 hours before departure. Airport food is not my idea of a good Thanksgiving dinner, but at least I will be on my way to Africa again!!!!!

Today was supposed to be a packing day. Sadly a friend and former co-worker passed away this week from cancer and the services were today.

I did manage to get all of the camera batteries all charged up and ready to go.

No real theme for tonights pictures, just thankful that I have them to remember the wonderful times we have had....

Here kitty kitty....

I know there's a leopard out there somewhere, but where did she go?????

There she is

Daron,

Heksie is bad-7 pages to wake up. But i''m one up on her-8 pages  . MCP and all that!
I think I'm more excited than you are. This is going to be a TR of note, if the intro is anything to go by! Suberb. Kitties and more kitties. Just what I love! And Otter    No matter how much I pray, and search, never seen one in over 30 years.
The kids have grown a LOT in 8 pages   . Whatever it is that you feed them-keep it away from me.
Hope you have a fab trip, KNP will make up for all these minor inconveniences I'm sure.
ENJOY-Wish I could be there.

I'm still back at the otter. WOW!!! Fabulous sighting. That must have been really special.

Sorry to hear about your friend :( .

You have some great photos already and I'm looking forward to seeing a whole lot more.

Sorry to hear you're going to miss Thanksgiving Dinner. Airplane food is certainly no substitute

So, you're thinking of KTP next year

Wishing you a smooth and uneventful flight, followed by fantastic sightings.

I remember your otter sighting being the best sighting, in my mind, of the year. I loved it  Thanks for sharing again. It was not only the sighting, but the very unique pictures.

Love your puddytat and great to meet the family again. 8)

Trrp-trrrrrrrr,

The camera batteries are full, but mine are on empty. Hopefully I will be able top sleep on the plane. Usually easier said than done, but I am being optimistic.
