Lake Panic, as ever, was brilliant! I love taking a “newbie” there – it is just SO amazing!

Goliath herons, great egrets, the grey herons in their nests with their young ones, a green backed heron, a malachite kingfisher, pied kingfishers, darters, jacana, crocs, swallows and a fish eagle …

Mum was like a kid in a candy store … you should have heard her oooh-ing and aaah-ing!!!

Maybe I can catch my mom with these birdies as she is indeed a bird lover :hmz:

We only found out about Lake Panic a few years ago :slap:

Not sure how we missed it, but it is a fantastic spot. We always make a point of stopping in a few times each time we visit now. We took our friends there after the mini-meet at Skukuza in September - it was their first time :thumbs_up:

Love the green backed heron. What a difference from the Goliath :shock:

I'm very

that you are going back in a few days, especially now that it's getting cold here.
