The pictures of the stalking leopard and later on looking more than sheepish is indeed a classical one for all cats  -

Greatly captured Daron

Hi Daron:
Just found this in time. Just a few more days now...... Glad to hear the back surgery is all done with and you're cleared for take-off.

If the shots that you've posted are any indication of what is to come, we're in for a treat.

Wishing you a pleasant flight and fabulous sightings.

Min dae (only a few more days.)

Trrp-trrrrrrr,

You're not going to believe this, but I almost ended my installment last night with "Min dae." I then though everyone would wonder why a silly American was using an Afrikaans phrase. I remember from my school days in Natal when the guys finishing their military time would use the phrase when they knew the end of their service was near.

Down to 8 more sleeps, so Min dae is right.

Beautiful sunrise, awesome Lion sighting, followed by a stunning Leopard! Gorgeous pictures tedredrum!

I hope you will have lots and lots similar sightings on your 2012 trip as well! I am looking forward to all your experiences and beautiful pictures after this next trip!

Hilda,

We are praying for an amazing trip with lots of good sightings. Just being in the bush again can be satisfying, but the sightings can really add to the experience.

Thanks,

Daron

Pumbaa,

She was beautiful. We were with her for two hours as she began stalking again. When she was within about 10 meters of an impala herd she flushed out a guinea fowl and the hunt was over. It was a special experience.

Thanks for following.

Ah Timbits welcome aboard. Are you back home in Canada? How's the weather? I don't think I can write as well as you, but I will give it a try. I so enjoyed reading your reports!

Thanks for jumping in!

Hi Barry,

Glad to have you on board. I attribute the recovery to being able to read TRs like yours. They motivated me to make sure I was up and ready to get on that plane. Wish you and Hilda would be in the Park while we are there so we could meet. Hopefully on another trip.

Daron

And a quick post with some random pictures for tonight. I did get the camera bodies off to the Canon shop today for a good cleaning. They will be ready for pickup tomorrow.

Well it has been a long day and the quicker I get my eyes closed the quicker the morning will come and I will be able to check off another day on the calendar.

I truly appreciate everyone who is following and commenting. It makes the effort worthwhile.

Thanks again,

Daron
