This is a video of amazing footage which was taken seconds after the Crocodile Bridge back of Wild Dogs caught and killed an impala.
It was taken on the S25 just west of Crocodile Bridge in the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Video was taken by David Da Silva.

Very brutal, not for the feint hearted.

I have seen this pack on the S25 as well, but my kill was on the tar road 9 km north of Croc Bridge.

I'm also amazed!

Nothing left after 3 minutes!

Have witnessed 2 wild dog kills from the same group just outside Crocodile Bridge some years ago, it was really brutal the way the impalas were pulled apart. Within 5 minutes there was nothing left of the impalas. Must be the cruelest and most brutal type of killing.

Actually the most "humane" and efficient method of killing. The animal is disembowled and dies in seconds. It is only torn apart after death. Compare this to say a lion, which suffocates its kill which, depending on the size of the prey, could take quite a few minutes.

I agree with Patto on that one. Gory - yes, but brutal - no. Wild Dog kills are usually swift and efficient. On the other hand, I once heard of 2 rogue male lions feeding off a live and injured hippo bull. 48 Hours later the hippo was still alive and the bones of its spine was clearly visible through its back where the lions fed. Now that is brutal!

Saw a double kill just up the road from Croc Bridge some years ago, in the space of 10 min the huge pack took down 2 impala - very gruesome.
