glad to see the lamp is still at the waterhole
And working well. But alas, we never get to see something at KK.
, especially the AWC and pup, and scenery shots and...... on second thought, ALL of them
Looking forward to more of the same
Nice pics LS.
I am not used to seeing the scenery so dry/thin/sparse...especially at KK
It was the first time for us as well to see the Kalahari like this. But it was certainly a great sight. Well, it always is when you are in KTP.
....and that is only the first part of the trip....
Such fantastic pictures very fine quality....very very nice
Ah, vinkie, you spoil me. Thanks.
Super pics of the birds
Love the road block....showing the beautiful green trees in the background.
Thanks for sharing
I like that pic as well as it seems so out of place when you looked into the barren riverbed. But even that was beautiful.

What beautiful colours
Stunning picture of the Bee-eater. They seldom pose so diligintly, and your LBJ is really cute.
Ja, the colours never fail to entertain me in KTP. I love them so much. Are you still planning to go soon?
, all i can say is, Wow
All I can say is Thank you!
Once again awesome landscapwise and animalwise
The verreaux is indeed very well hidden
That's why I never find them.
Wonderfull pics !
Thanks for sharing the goooood times!!
Hopefully more good times and entertainment to come, kyknetta.
I know some people who don't like KK because they never had anything special there. Neither did we. But the landscape certainly makes up for it. It really is beautiful. And relaxing.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend driving there.
But I certainly recommend going there. Ah, you know that anyway.
Thanks for your ever so kind words, hilda!
What an awesome start. Thanks for sharing!
Pleasure, Daron and thanks for reading along.
What lovely birdies, lovely scenery, lovely owl... Wish I could be there now...
*sigh* Don’t we all..
Just catching up on your TR - really enjoying it so far.
I was most taken with one of the first lion pictures... amazing lighting, they look incredible.
The baby Jackal is so cute!!! I don't think I've ever seen a picture of one before (I certainly haven't seen one in real life!)
The red landscape reminds me of central Australia - amazing colours.
Looking forward to hearing more!
I’m gonna see those colours in due time as well. Can’t wait for that!
(And I’ll have more jackal pups for you
Uff, happy to hear that it might not have been our incompetence…
Thanks for climbing onboard! When can I join your trip?
On we go with the first part of day two then.
