Well done on connecting with it BB! Still can't believe there is one in Cape Town. Would love to know where it came from, and how it got so lost.

I spoke to John Graham, MattA, and he would also like to know. He says it is the same one as was seen 2 weeks ago.

About 200 people saw it, and I got a pic sent to me by a chap who was there, so I am not at liberty to post it.

I took my camera to work all of LAST week. Just like in Kruger, all the best sightings happen when you leave the camera behind. :wall:

Woohoo indeed Duke.

I have looked for it unsuccessfully along the Olifants, and on the Okavango panhandle, but saw it 20 km from my house.

:hmz: Maybe I am wrong....

Now to get to 600 before the end of the year.....

Before I forget, a huge thank you to Ferdelance again.

Thanks so much for keeping 'score', and presenting it so well.

Great to have 165 on the list.

No matter what your total is, we are just all enthusiasts here, trying to add to our lists.

BTW, I might as well.... I have some stiffnecks caps, beanies, scarves and other stuff for sale in support of VHR who support anti rhino poaching.

Send me a pm if you are interested in getting some.

My list is creeping slowly to 580.

Latest additions:
Black eared sparrowlark
Protea seedeater
Karoo koorhaan
Southern Tchagra
Layard's titbabler
Victorin's warbler
African Emerald cuckoo
Cape clapper lark

I don't think there are many land birds left in my area that I have not seen, but I'm feeling nauseus at the thought of doing a pelagic trip to boost this number beyond the 600 mark!

Good Evening BB.

Fantastic Photo's! I'm glad you were able to get a Pel's on your list! Such a wonderful species. I also got mine as Lifer 492 in my list, only it was in Mkuzi. :).

Thank you for the kind words! I am glad I'm also contributing to the forums in some way!

Hi all.
Up to 471 now. Ticked Scalythroated Honeyguide on Saturday. Hopefully I`ll be able to reach 500 later in the month when I`m in Kruger!
2013. . . . . Okavango?
