We were there when about 25 elephants came to drink. They were next to the hide on the right hand side. They could smell us, and inquisitive trunks were searching us out through the viewing windows. One youngster decided to wade in, within touching distance....

Great images Neilo.........the croc is a once in a lifetime sighting and you manage to get a pic :clap: :clap:

We visited Lake Panic on 30 October. Was not very succesfull - have never seen so much water at the hide.

Not much activity - no hippos to be seen, or any other animal for that matter. Very quiet on the birding front also.

Quite a few Grey Herons on nests
