Hey folks!

I've tried a Forum search, entering 1, 2, n keywords: no results.

So here's a quickie: Contrary to former reservation deposit requests, the summary in the .pdf file of my recent confirmation shows a "Community Levy @ nn.nn" (nn.nn = 10% of my total reservation amount)?

1: What does this mean and where does the increase come from?
2: Where do the extra proceeds go to?
3: Have customers/incl. wildcard-holders, been properly informed? Via all possible channels?

For me personally: this notice is a first, and trust me: I have been tracing back SANParks reservations conf's for nearly 2 decades!

Urgent request: Please advise ASAP! I don't want my reservation to be cancelled due to not paying the deposit in time... On the other hand I do want to know what exactly I am paying for!

Oh, and in case it matters: ja... I've been a WildCardholder for years too.

@Thee Moderators: This is the platform I choose for my question. If (and when) you decide otherwise, just let me know, ok? It's a legit question... it deserves a legit answer! From SANParks.

the community levy is actually 1 % , and not 10 % .
It is to be used for upliftment of the surrounding community

Thnx, Saraf. I'll read up later. But ja, I must've missed those announcements. Probable because the communication-platforms chosen by SANParks were way too minimal (as in: optional!):
a/ You need to be subscribed to SANParks news feed (and check it regularly). Subscribed: yes. Check: minimal
b/ You need to be an active forum member. Sorta!
On the other hand:
c/ The (relatively simple) query (=match): client codes -- number of bookings since |yr = xx)| is missing.. And with that the Inform! command.

For over a year now, attached to the 'Additional Information' email that is sent when one makes a booking, is a document "Parks Regulations Reservation Attachment" and under # 4:

Deebs... it's getting late here, and I am getting tired... If I had received any type of info re: the new levy I wouldn't have even bothered to post this question.
But, to humour you; I have been going over about 5/6 yrs of confirmations and/or deposit request emails from SANParks reservations (on average 2 or 3/yr...) And trust me.. there have been NO 'Additional Information' emails whatsoever...

On all my reservations I have received (in order of appearance):

1: (In reply to my availability check/reservation request):
"<<Deposit Request Letter.pdf>>
Dear Sir\Madam

Herewith please find attached
documents as requested.

Regards"

1 attachment: Deposit Request Letter.pdf<<

2: (Confirming my credit card payment of the above mentioned reservation):
"<<Confirmation Letter.pdf>>
Dear Sir\Madam

Herewith please find attached
documents as requested.

And that was it... nothing less; nothing more. If you want, I am perfectly happy to (integrally) FW all my SANP (reservation) correspondence from the past 5 or 6 yrs to you, so you can see for yourself. Just give me the "GO"...

That is weird, will ask someone to follow up Jose, and see why you're not getting the 2nd email.
