Marvellous idea .. if the deposit is 50% peeps dont want to loose that amount.and the 60 days before arrival full payment means when those do not pay it gives sanparks 2 months to sell the accommodation ... great.
( when I ran a B&B we used to ask 10% and we had many no shows as the folks we found booked several places and then at the last minute chose and many of us lost out then we upped the deposit to 50% .. beeeeg change .. peeps came ) so I am sure this will work

I am not sure if these changes will effect the the amount you would lose as the cancellation/modification rules for the public are not affected. If my understanding is correct you can still cancel up to 30 days before the start of a trip and be refunded the full amount you have paid.
