Thanks Jannie for your quick and positive reply (and of course I forgive you for not posting regularly in this thread, as I am a generous person  ).

Will get in touch as soon as I know the exact dates of our visit :D

Bookings are finally made :D

Jannie, maybe you can help us decide whether we should do 2 morning walks at TR or just one morning walk at TR and one night drive at Nossob?
When you do the walks do you always walk the same route?

Dates will follow via PM once we have made up our minds.

Thank you :D

Welcome to the forum katearms.

I suggest you send Kgalagadi Guru a private message. He usually logs on very early and should get it immediately.

We'll be there mid-July. I believe the morning walks start 30 minutes before gate opening time.
In July, would it be a better idea to do an afternoon walk instead of a morning walk, because of the cold? Or is it not really an issue?

In the morning, KG might be forced to wear his long trousers.

Jonkers, did the cold make any difference to the walk? Would you recommend an afternoon walk instead?

I don't mind the cold, you can dress in layers and walking is action keeps you warm
I don't mind getting up early either. So morning walks are perfect for me
I love the crisp fresh air and as it can be really freezing cold in the park I love the sound of walking on frozen ground while you try to make no sound at all. And to see the sun rise standing on a dune, I felt privileged to start a day and our visit to the park with this morning walk from 2R.
