This cheetah had obviously done this many times before. Just quick and quiet, no fuss. No hyena's , lions or the like

Neilo, what a sighting! I have always said I don't want to see or hear a kill, because it is to sad! But maybe, if there is no noise and the prey dies quickly, I might be able to watch, although with a few tears, I'm sure. That's nature and most people would love to see that. Beautifully captured too!

Hey tannie Val, how are you, missed you when we where away enjoying Satara.....thanx for reading and commenting on my TR!!

The CB's, I was so happly to see them, but I can't tell if there is anything in the nest yet. Yesterday she sat looking out of the hole almost all day long and I thought, yes eggs! But today she is sitting on the roof or in another tree. He is also around and is calling a lot and have you heard the sound they make when they are unhappy with something, she does that a lot when he is near. Wish I could speak bird, they confuse me the all the time.

We just found the cheethas and not the painted dogies this time, though it felt like we always just missed them when you talk to other people.

The people we me from Australia in the park with there local friends entered at Phubeni Gate and they stopped at the first water hole. They were all looking at the water and wild dogs came running from the back chasing a impala. The impala jumped in the water and swam to the other side and the dogs did not chase it any more. The dogs came back to the cars and weed on there wheels and dissapeard into the bush. Hows that???? I can just die......

SM........I know that feeling of "just missing the doggies" but good for you to find some cheetah!!

Hi Val, only 13 days, you are so lucky, we just got back, so that means for me 100 or 200 and something days. You know what is the worst, just before you leave Kruger you see the people just arriving and stopping to watch impala and you know there excitement, while you are feeling down.....
