Hi Aat,

I like the idea of "The legendary Tuskers" ! !

Two questions :-

1] Could any currently live tuskers qualify ?

2] Could tuskers from "other" parks also qualify ?
i.e. iSilu ?

Good questions ...
I called it Legendary Tuskers of KNP so it is just for the tuskers from Kruger. Otherwis I should mention it Legendary Tuskers of South-Africa (something to think about)
The other question... I will only include tuskers who passed away and deserve a special place because of their tusks (lenght / weight) or popularity.

All the current tuskers will be in the section Tuskers of Today.
A change I will make is to include the STE tuskers in this section like Nkombo... so it will be easier to ID in one section and they are tuskers of Kruger. I will add info that they are collared by STE.

I think the Tembe tuskers deserve their own section bacause they are a special "group" of tuskers with another background.

Alexander - Hlanganini - Phelwane and Mandleve ( Mandleve carried the heaviest tusks ever recorded in Kruger )

-Massive right tusk and shorter, broken left
-Bull must be +- 320cm at shoulder and right tusk almost touches ground

I believe this was the same bull just seen earlier:

-Taken on H1-6 between Mopani and Letaba near Twisappel waterhole
-10 december 2012
-Massive Bull
-Aged, maybe 50 years
-Massive right tusk and shorter, broken left
-Bull must be +- 320cm at shoulder and right tusk almost touches ground

-Taken on H1-6 between Mopani and Letaba near klein nshawu waterhole
-10 december 2012
-Big Younger Bull
-Youngish, maybe 30 years
-perfect straight "kruger" style tusk and excellent general condition
-Bull must be +- 300cm at shoulder and tusks prob 1.2 m length

-Taken on H1-6 about 3 km's from Letaba
-18 August 2011
-Average older Bull
-Middle to older, maybe 40 years
-Thick, stright tusks with worn "cutting" groove on right tusk
-Bull must be +- 310cm at shoulder and tusks prob 1 m length and very thick
-have seen this bull often around Letaba and i believe his is often seen by visitors

-Taken on tar road to SHingwedzi coming off H1-6 or H1-7...about 1 km from gate
-02 December 2012
-Big Bull
-Middle aged, maybe 35 years
-Big tusks, right slightly longer and more down facing, left shorter but strighter
-Bull must be +- 330cm at shoulder and tusks prob 1.2 m length
-Bull had a tracking collar around his neck

Number one & two is Kaleka and your last one most likely Riceho.
