Upon the top of a koppie...
was a klipspringer being all soppy
He was serenading his doe
with a song full of woe
But, which sealed his fate, he called her "poppie"!

A cabbage and a cucumber
Do not combine to promote good slumber
Some people say that life's a breeze
Or a piece of cake or a jolly wheeze
But "life's a gas" can make one lumber

Beneath the shade of a great fig tree,
Rested a lizard, a snake a scorpion and me..
I kept an eye upon the tail
and called for help but got voicemail
So Woe is me! I got up to flee.

I fled to a lovely safe place called Lake Panic

I fled to a lovely safe place called Lake Panic
where I saw a gigantic.........
Bee that was buzzing around
It attacked a croc on the ground
who suffered from depression manic!

A big daddy baboon was plagues by fleas,
from the itching and scratching there was no ease.
He scratched till he bled,
from his knees to his head...
Which was only soothed when he pressed on cream cheese.

Too curious, the leopard cub forward edged
as the young eagles fledged
And the new baby monkeys
felt very much ill at ease
And sideways behind mommy hedged

The great full moon rose over the sea
And further north met the baobab tree
"Well, how crazy - you're upside down!"
In fact you look rather like a clown!!
said the moon "while I am up here feeling so free!"

The great boabab was not at all amused

The great boabab was not at all amused
and his feelings were rather bruised
Then the elephant came wandering by
and on his shoulders the big tree could cry
but by this time everyone was confused.

There was once a strange animal called a geronkey
Was he a mixture of giraffe and donkey?
with a long neck and longer ears?
He was so high off the ground he had no fears!
But, whenever he moved, he felt quite wonky.

The elephants cavorted in the cooling dam
One named Milly and one named Sam
Sam squirted Milly
Until she tumbled, dilly,
and Sam thought he'd better scram

Under a sausage tree stood a stork
And all the sausages were filled with pork
he thought "yum! tasty"
would make a good pasty
But he also mused if cholesterol had killed the great auk

A playful warthog met a curious bee
"why" said bee "can't you fly like me?"
"And maybe now it's time to try!"

A lion was grumpy when awoken -
A louse had fallen into his Coken
the louse wasn't a happy chappy
The Coke had swollen up his nappy
and Lion said EUGHH! you're not housebroken

Across the swollen river
Mom ellie began to quiver:
A tremendous storm was coming
she swam accross the water up to her bumming!
the water was cold and it made her shiver
