Hi friends. Just a quick update. In exactly 60 days from today we will be boarding a plane and heading back to Kruger. I am home recovering from back surgery #3. Fortunately there are plenty of awesome Trip Reports to keep me occupied. Morkel Erasmus has promised to get caught up on his so I'm waiting patiently for that. Do all the forumites agree that his photography is amazing????

Mrs. Erasmus, if your husband suddenly disappears in late November, don't worry, he will have been kidnapped by a crazy American for 2 weeks of photography lessons and will be returned in one piece......

Daron, we are certainly extremely fortunate to have some of the talent that we do on the forum. 8) The Lake Panic thread is another treat, and the Sunset dam thread is always a pleasure for homesick mites.

Well, I wish you a very speedy recovery :gflower: . I hope the days don't go too slowly. At times like this I understand Einstein's theory of relativity.

Yes, a speedy recovery Daron, and maybe we will meet!!
We will be staying in Phalaborwa at that time, so maybe we could meet at Letaba, when you are on your way from Shing to Olifants, if that suited you!!!

Looking forward to your TR..........thoroughly enjoyed the last!!

Hi tedredrum,

I've checked the dates of my trip and we could run into each other in December
I stay in Berg n Dal from 3.12. to 7.12. before I go back to Joburg (Munich).
I always wanted to do a bush braai but never got enough people for it . Would you be interested?
If yes, I'm sure Raymond (head guide at BnD) could make a plan :D
Would be great to meet you

Crested Val, sounds like a possibility. Would love to put faces with names from the forum.

Flying Cheetah, a bush braai might work on 3/12 or 4/12. We are a group of 8 so I will check to see who is interested. We already have a bush braai scheduled a few nights earlier at Olifants.

wildflowergirl and barryels,

Thanks for the well wishes. Still not allowed to walk for another week, but it is giving me plenty of time to catch up on TR's. I read WendyA's 49 pages in one sitting.

Well Friends we are just 49 days from departure for South Africa. We have confirmed bookings for Sunrise drives at Shingwedzi and Satara and Bush Braais at Olifants and Malelane. Can't wait!!!! Jazil has our dates/camps posted on the Kruger calendar. Would love to meet any other mites that are in the Park at the same time.

Nice itinerary Tedredrum! Time flies! Before you know it, you will depart from O R Tambo in your rented car straight in Kruger's direction!

Hope your back will be fine by then?

Hi Hilda and Normana53,

Yes we are counting the days and getting the camera equipment ready. I just ordered a new bean bag and can't wait to put it to use.

Every night is one less sleep before we get there!
