Best feeling ever!! To be able to lift that chain
and to let oneself out!!




Time always drags along when least needed,
yet when not, it flashes past, so nothing better
than a cuppa from the bonnet of the Kruger
mobilum!!





Just to be able to put hands to that chain is
an awesome feeling!!!

Hah Cannot wait!!

Almost sure one of them owls winked at me
as I passed by!!

I'm sure they did.

Morning Everybody

Roger - we are booked for 6 nights at Tsendze in March 2013 (20th - 26th).

We will keep a very keen eye on this forum to record sightings and best roads to drive, we are also looking forward to meeting you and Elina.

Have a peaceful time, Roger; not sure if it can be as peaceful as Tsendze, though?

Finally finding time to write a trip report;

We set off early on Friday morning, planning to leave at 04h00 but got away slightly earlier at 03h50... nice!!



Had a great sunrise on the way.



After stopping at The Wheelbarrow after Magoebaskloof Pass, it was off to Phalaborwa Gate and into the Park. It's always a wonderful feeling arriving at and into the Park... it just feels right.

We went straight to Mopani Camp to check-in for Tsendze and I must say the staff were excellent at both the Phalaborwa Gate and Mopani Camp.



Then it was off to Tsendze for our first time. I was worried that I'd heard so many good things about the camp that I'd have too high expectations and then be disappointed but honestly it is one of the best camps in the Park IMHO. We moslty stay at Maroela which is small, quiet and only has camping, just the way we like it.

When we arrived at Tsendze we immediately ran into Rodger who directed us to our sites and remembered me from the forum. Wow, what a treat it is to have both Rodger and Elina looking after you. It really makes it a very special experience when they come around every night and show you where the owls are and share with you what everyone has spotted.

Rodger and Elina thank you so much, we truly enjoyed our first time at Tsendze and will definitely return soon.
