Tree Little Birds. Bob Marley. This is one song I always hear in my thoughts when there is a bird on the doorstep early in the morning.

"Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', ("This is my message to you-ou-ou:")

Singin': "Don't worry 'bout a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right."
Singin': "Don't worry (don't worry) 'bout a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

But I would say Summer Holiday by Cliff Richards reminds me of Kruger.

We're all going on a summer holiday
no more working for a week or two.
Fun and laughter on our summer holiday,
no more worries for me or you,
for a week or two.

We're going where the sun shines brightly
we're going where the sea is blue.
we've all seen it on the movies,
now let's see if it's true.

Everybody has a summer holiday
doin' things they always wanted to
So we're going on a summer holiday,
to make our dreams come true
for me and you.
for me and you.

"Take me where the sun is shining" - Coleske
"Africa" - Toto
"Spirit of a great heart" -Johnny Clegg

"Spirit of a great heart" also reminds me of the famous Jock of the Bushveld and my late grandfather who knew Jock's owner and used to entertain us with stories about one of the legends of KNP and the Bushveld. I was also fortunate enough to own a Staffordshire terrier that was a cousin to the one used in the Jock of the Bushveld -film where Jonathan Rands played the role of Percy Fitzpatrick.

Thus a double reminder with one song.

Cannot find the recording I like which has a singer with a better voice in my opinion, but I listened to this after exiting the park last month!

Despite being not a song and referring to a few animals not in Kruger:

Lately the song Drive by REM, as in getting up very early – no need for an alarm then, pack the car and start driving before the crack of dawn to Kruger :) 8)

Any song of Johnny Clegg and Jaluka/Suvuka.
Also, the Into the Wild movie soundtrack performed by Eddie Vedder (of Pearl Jam fame).
I always listen to these 2 CDs in my car as the N4 descends down into the lowveld near Machadodorp. This sets the scene for the coming visit to Kruger. Once I reach the gate, its no more radio untill I return to civilization.

I've just read through this thread and listened to the mentioned songs that I could find on the web. It has made for one of the best lunch breaks I've ever had. I so miss Afrika right now. Days like this the wet UK summers do seem like punishment if I think of formative years in Cape Town and holidays spent in the bush veld.

My Kruger song is a bit weird. It's called Monster by The Automatic, but replace monster in the chorus with vulture. We sing it when ever we see vultures circling:

What's that coming over the hill
Is it a vulture? Is it a vulture?
What's that coming over the hill
Is it a vulture? Is it a vulture?
What's that coming over the hill
Is it a vulture? Is it a vulture?
What's that coming over the hill?

I'm humming the tune right now.     Oh how I love the Sanparks Forum.
