A friend showed me a video taken of our little Black footed cat. This is without a doubt the most endangered species of cat in southern Africa. While trying to download    which I still have not managed, I came across some quite amazing cats.. and other endangered species.

Here I am sharing a few pictures of the Black footed cat. Tiny and dynamic. They cannot be tamed and remain bundles of fury, no matter how they are raised.

 So that is why I never had a sighting of a BFC. Thanks for posting the pics MM.

What other cats are also endangered? Or are they just rare because they are nocturnal? :hmz:

Picnic, I think I once saw one close to Mapungubwe, but as road kill   Needless to say, I shed many tears.

There is a rehab centre close to Middleburg in the Cape that has a little rehab centre for endangered cats. I need to try to download one of their vidoes. DB so kindly gave me intructions, but  MM has a hard drive problem when it comes to following instructions.

I recieve Africa Geographic on a monthly basis. It is in one of these that I read about the Africa Golden cat. It must be one of the most beautiful species around. They are extremely rare and these were captured by a night cam.
