On Tuesday 7th August we were on the road between Lower Sabie and Skukuza. There was a lepoard hiding in some rocks. There was a pack of Baboon attacking the leopard. We could not stay to see the outcome as we would not have made the gate by 6pm. Please can someone let us know what was the outcome. Did the leopard survive?

A warm welcome, Elayne :D

I have often heard of this happening. It must have been quite something to watch. I hope that someone can follow up for you. Baboons have been known to mob Leopards, particularly if they are a threat to the young.

Welcome to the forum Elayne. That sounds like an amazing sighting.

Have a read of MJ's sightings report for Lower Sabie, I know she mentioned baboons and leopards in one of her reports in August, but I think it was a leopard had taken a baboon.
