What type of incident? Who charged who? Poaching related or not? Deaths or injuries on both sides?

Rooies, apparently this double cab Isuzu didn't want to wait for the family of rhinos to move out of the road on their own time and tried to push past while they were still in the road. The one rhino decided enough is enough of this revving engine and charged (and damaged) the bakkie. They looked allright (the people) inside, as people asked if they needed help, but were "rudely" ignored.
The rhino wasnt hurt as well, just made sure to show who is boss.

Any further news on this ? Would be interesting to know ?

Reminds me of a 'story' not sure if true or not from a ranger on one of the walking trails.

Apperantly like this, a vehicle had entered but had never left. Its was several days later they found the car up one of the no entry roads, the guy had commited suicide and gassed himself.

A posting on FB states that the occupants of the vehicle that went missing were found last night near Tshokwane on a No Entry management road by an Anti Poaching team. The vehicles prop shaft broke when the vehicle was driven into a ditch.
This sounds so similar to the couple from Witbank who also "got lost" in the Tshokwane area.
Wonder what they were up to.

I wonder what anyone wants up a no entry road? Its hard luck when your prop shaft breaks on a normal road, but when you sneak up a no entry road it serves you right. Hope they get fined lots!

Rules and regulations exist for good reasons.

Read the article http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/lowveld/lowveld-news-crime?oid=5965125&sn=Detail&pid=490165&Couple-walks-20km-to-safety-in-KNP

The road that the couple broke down on was apparently a No Entry road?

I am not in possession of all the facts, but if they were on a permitted road, surely another vehicle would have passed by during all that time?!!!

I would suggest they may have gone down a "No Entry" road............but that is just my humble opinion!!

If that is the case, SANparks will know where the vehicle was found and take approriate action.

But if it was a no entry road a stiff fine is in order.

They were definitely on a no-entry road. Not even in the far north do you have to look for tyre tracks on the roads. They are just there.

And it seems like that is the way this guy goes to the park. Driving on the no-entry roads. They should be fined and banned from the park. :sniper:
