Unread postby Duke Ellieton » Thu Jul 05, 2012 1:44 pm

Hello All,

Welcome to our new forum :D

This forum is to discuss science and research in SANParks.

You all welcome to post all science and research matters here to open the discussion. Topics like the latest dicsussion on Bovine TB will be moved here

We have people from Wits University who have agreed to post here and discuss science and research matters and will also get SANParks scientists to post here.

Look forward to all the discussions and your contributions.

Have you read the entrance permit? Do you KNOW the Conditions of Entry?

I don't want to stir things here and dig up old cows, but have any studies been done on the effect of the Mopani worm harvesting that was done last year? As far as I know, the topic reached a dead end and was buried. Or does the worm thing fall under another category of discussions. As mentioned above I come in peace but as far as I can remember we haven't reached finality on the mentioned discussion.

But having said that, I am looking forward to whatever new comes up here. It is a good idea, more intellectual discussions and less :D  ( )

Ooohhh this could become a very interesting area, especially if research findings become disputed

As the old saying goes "Lies, damn lies and then statistics"

But seriously , this could really be a valuable addition to the forum, especially if we could get wildlife research specialists from UP involved.

Maybe we should have the naked scientist.. I mean naked Sanparks scientist with a Q and A like on 702.

I wonder if anyone would have the um.... you know  to offer to be our naked scientist.
