New particle to weigh elephants?

Unread postby Grantmissy » Thu Jul 05, 2012 7:05 am

Does anyone know in English what this new Higgs boss particle is that scientists discovered? And if and how it relates to wildlife and nature conservation in Kruger for example? :hmz:

Higgs boss particle?? :hmz:
That's a new one! Would also love to know what it is and what benefit it is going to have for conservation.
(............if it can weigh an elephant then that's some mean particle  )

And did you know that it was discovered by checking the speed of particles through a long tunnel , about the length of an elephant's intestinals . It's also called a long-drop

I see in many newspapers/media it is described as the "God Particle" but I think it is going to make some Scientists meet Him.
