Nice post!!

Most of the identifications are correct, except for the "night adder" which is actually a rhombic egg-eater (Dasypeltis scabra), so completely harmless. The photo after that is a brown house snake (Boaedon capensis), and then the one after that is a striped skaapsteker (Psammophylax tritaeniatus).

I'm not 100% convinced with the boomslang either, but I'm not going to argue as I can't see enough detail in the photo posted. If you can maybe crop out the head and post just that it will help.

I'd guess these were not all found on the same trip, but if they were, it must have been the best trip ever!

5 of them where taken on 1 trip in May last year. On this trip we had 12 snake spottings. I only manage to take photo's of 5. The one that got away that I'm really sad about where a black snake with white or ivory bands. It was beautiful.

The black snake with ivory bands was most likely a banded form of a snouted cobra.

I'm still not 100% sure, but if I had to I'd put my money on a boomslang for the green snake that you posted. 12 snake sightings on one trip.... not bad at all. Was that in the southern areas around Skukuza?

Yes most of them. The green 1 at lower sabie. Brown house snake Satara. Black Mamba, that cobra with the white, pyhton, and a couple of quick one one the dirt road from Mopani towards Shingwedzi(s50). And the puffie near Crocodile Bridge. Was a 5 day trip.

Wow, MPL. You must have a snake magnet under your car! 12 snake sightings in 5 days- that must be a record here on the forum. There are some forumites who are still to see their first snake in KNP. Watch out-some are going to ask to tag along with you Great shots BTW.
Bushsnake, what else would you say that green snake could be? It seems a bit to long for a Boomslang. Though the head shape is consisteent with boomslang.

Initially something bothered me which is why I wasn't sure that it is a boomslang, but I can't pinpoint what it was. The head shape and colour is right for a boomslang, and not quite right for any of the other green snakes that occur in that area. The other green snakes that occur there would be the Natal green snake (Philothamnus natalensis) and the green water snake (Philothamnus hoplogaster). I'm not sure how big green water snakes get, but the ones I've seen and heard of were normally less than 80cm. Natal green snakes sometimes reach longer lengths as well, so size-wise that would have been an option. But both the green water snake and the Natal green snake are much brighter in colour, and because they don't have keeled scales they appear a lot smoother.

I will put money on it being a Boomslang. None of the other green snakes as BushSnake has pointed out, will puff up their throats in a warning gesture as the snake in the picture did.

Yes - itr is a male Boomslang (Dispholidus typus).

A juvenile Black Mamba (Dendroaspis polylepis). The young mambas are not seen very often.
