Excellent DB! Now if there were just some KNP landmarks in the background...
I know the nay-sayer in W@H will question where these were taken.

But, I'll vouch for DB on the authenticity of these! She has more than enough first hand sightings of Sable in KNP. I was with her and Neil on Madlabantu when we spotted sable there!

Those aren't sable those are Damara Dik Dik

That first one is someone's pet ... like I told you last time .. see it even has a dog .. cat .. bok collar tag on

The other ones were spotted on a game farm outside of Kruger .. I know that cause I've seen them there as well

You'll have to invite me to come along W@H. I've seen sable on every visit I've had to the park (and twice last time!).....

@Gemma T .. Impossible .. Sable became extinct in KNP in the 80's coincidently the last time I saw sable in KNP

Could be true - that was when I last saw Sable in KNP (would need to look up old notes to see if I noted where; possibly not, as first visit and pretty green!). Will never forget, as we saw them agaist a pink early-evening sky. Knew that it was a pretty special sighting as was told so by mosij who is pretty experienced and knowledgeable.

(I know the tone of this thread is humorous, not to be taken too seriously, but couldn`t resist sharing as the sighting had such an impact on me

Scot, thanks for sharing, it does sound very special. And we need all the help for W@H we can get
