I was so lucky with leopard sightings on my last trip in April -5 separate sightings with at most two other cars.
This was the best by far.
I turned in to Magamba, only to find no water and no game. I turned around and on the way back -I'd passed only two minutes before- this met my eyes.

I pulled across the road expecting that he would go straight into the bush but instead he got up and strolled towards me.

He came within a few feet of the car and stood looking straight at me. I was so mesmerised that it didn't even occur to me to wind up the window though he was less than 5 ft away!

Then he casually walked behind the car and disappeared into the bush.

Here's a short video clip followup of my earlier "top 3 leopard sightings" posted earlier in this thread.

Our most interesting leopard sighting was towards the end of November 2011 on the H14 quite near the Tzendze River crossing.

It was not the best viewing opportunity, because the grass was high....................but it was eating a porcupine!!

We were just sad that the first porcupine that we ever saw in the wild was a dead one!!

Nice photo Crested Val. Its a risky business hunting porcupine, it can go so wrong. I remember seeing a lioness with a face full of quills up in Shingwedzi. She was lucky not to have lost an eye.

Thanks for sharing

Great sightings Shaheen, Granjan, Jan, and Riaan; thanks for sharing - when I see such pics I simply want to jump in my car and rush off to Kruger again!

Hi James. Thank you. We were very lucky.

The first one was on the H1-2 towards Thsokwane just after the Maroelaloop turnoff.
The second was on the H7 towards Orpen. 7km before Orpen.
The third is on the H1-3 towards Satara just after the baobab tree.

Most of the other Leopards were seen near Lower Sabie, The mystical Balule Leopard at Olifants while sitting on our stoep, H1-1 a few. S1 3 on 1 trip.
