Yep, I had totally forgotten that members can not post in the Help forum.

But! As you see I tried to hand you an easy and quick way to share and post photos in this tutorial.

Now who has tried it, and did it work for you? Any bits I should make clearer?

DQ.............how does the privacy "settings" on dropbox work..........I do understand that you log in and have a password, but is there an administrator that has access to your box???

Yes, of course, the guys at dropbox can see into your files.
I would not post photos there which do not include clothes and stuff like that. There are automated programs checking for illegal content.
But there are no people sniffing in your stuff if that is what you mean.

I was more thinking in the lines of office work dropped in there to finish tonight..........sometimes financials that I don't want others to see........

Next question ( as it seems its only me and my million questions!!!)..........you need to resize your photos BEFORE you upload them to dropbox?? It does not seem to have a resize like photobucket???

Yep! it does not resize at all.

I dump my photos straight from Lightroom into the directories, after working on them, which includes resizing.

Two more questions.................

1. When I upload and for some reason ( other than being not the brightest!!! ) I did not upload to the correct folder how do I move the pic to the correct folder??

2. The picture did not give me that box at the right bottom corner, so I just right clicked and copied the URL........but now I have one very small picture here on the forum??? How do I rectify that???

Nope....

You miss a bit. Open it from your dropbox, and then click the anchorchain at the right bottom of the screen.
A new window opens with the Download button.
Rightclick that, and copy the link.

You now have something like this:
Code:
https://dl.dropbox.com/s/vc448fqv6j1h2cm/IMG_4944.jpg?dl=1

Note that it starts with dl.dropbox

Remove the ?dl=1

You are left with
Code:
https://dl.dropbox.com/s/vc448fqv6j1h2cm/IMG_4944.jpg

Select it, and hit the [Img] button on the top, and you get this:

Code:
[img]https://dl.dropbox.com/s/vc448fqv6j1h2cm/IMG_4944.jpg[/img]

And that shows like this:

You can just move them around. It is a (set of) folders on your machine, so with Explorer you can throw the files around as much as you like. Dropbox will note the change and adjust its files on the server too.

Thanx for those............Question 1 is easy then.

BUT question 2 is my problem.............I did open it in dropbox...........but it did not give me that box at the right bottom only middle bottom with 2 options........save and delete.

I'll go back and retry with another photo.........practice makes perfect.........hope you don't mind all these questions, but hopefully it will be of use to the others that's to shy to show us what they can do with Dropbox!!!

Did you use the Photos folder?

I don't mind the questions at all, that is what we are here for. ;)

Yes it's in the photo folder, but not in a subfolder.
