The entirely man made Hutchinson swamp lies in the central section between the two national parks sections. It was created by pumping water from a weir built in the Limpopo in to channels which fed the swamp. It created a huge swamp section which is a haven for water birds.

which (small!!) national park is where the Sanparks' headquarters are situated. Name, where is it and what's the size? :)

You must mean the Groenkloof National Park. Situated in Pretoria (if that city still retains its name :wink: ). Size?? Not sure, but "baie klein" (very small). :lol:

I know that they recently removed a portion of the land out of the Park, but not sure if the 7 hectares is what remains, or it is now less. Perhaps headquarters can enlighten us?

Which SANPark has been having an ongoing transfer of antelope into the reserve since 2004 in order to expand their numbers there?
