Mellory and Hilda,

I can see that you two are struggling with a straight forward answer to to question about Heksie that was not there but was actually there  (confusing hey??). Here is the easy answer to the confusing part:

It was actually Anri that attended the meet, because Heksie had to swot over the week-end.

Hope this cleared the confusion?? :hmz:

A VERY SPECIAL THANKS to Barry and Hilda who arranged EVERYTHING at Rietvlei and paid for the salads, bread rolls, pap & sauce, etc. I do hope that everyone contributed generously and that there was enough money in the Amarula tin at the end of the day to cover the cost.

Hi Wendy,
It seems that our Angles had a few confusing moments during the meet. Just to clarify the above, Me and Hilda took it upon ourselves to pay for the side dishes without any contributions from the mites.

An additional amount of R 750.00 was due for the use of premisis, the tables, braai's, plates etc that formed part of the Amarula tin contribution. With that contribution (thanks to all the mites  ) we collected R 550.00. The difference of R 200.00 was made up by a contribution from myself and Hilda.

Hope the confusing part is cleared  .

Barry, you and Hilda have been stars all around.

Honestly, your arrival on the forum has been such a positive experience, both in attitude and deed.

I am leaving for work soon. I am taking my bee-eater picture to "show off". Can't keep it to myself any longer.

To those who posted pictures, thanks so much     all I noticed was smiling faces.. and thanks to Shi, tongues

Anri, please give my warmest regards to Heksie. My only regret about Saturday was that I did not get a chance to sit down and have a good natter with this busy mite.

Sorry Hilda & Mellory-it was the witch talking(sometimes she just takes over -especially after tooooo many Amarulas)
THANKS for a wonderful meet this past Saturday! I will confess that I was stressing a bit-didnt know if I would fit in (the heksie did  )
I want to say a BIG thanks to the organisers Barry, Hilda and Wendy. To the secretary who almost forgot his name... Mr Cheetahkie. I want to thank Sharifa for those mouthwatering samoosas
Then the stoutgatte: Scips, Dan the man and Tshukudu (very verrry entertaining group)
And all the other lovely members of my new famdamily:
PetraJ, Catmatix, bushmom, bushbaby30, mads, VVV, Dikdikkie, Waterbuck (thanks for my YR), waterdoe and waterfawns, hooligan(the interesting birthday boy), mellory, Meandering mouse and duke. It was nice meating Martie via the computer as well.
If I forgot any names I blame it on Barry and the Amarula :slap:
Can't wait for the next one...

Oh and a great big thanks to Stelliegp123 who made those wonderful Amarula cupcakes for me!

Anri

It's a OOM thing. Sekhmet branded us the three blind mice, but I really don't know where she got to that conclusion :hmz: , since we have a remarkable ability to spot any talent from miles away...
And yes, believe me these lots do become like a family. You shake their hand the first time you meet, and when you say goodbye you hug and kiss everybody and it stays that way for all future meetings. :k These people are a lovely lot, and you'll be amazed how quickly you start missing them! The forum is truly a family away from family!

Dan, Scipio, Tsukudu

Three ol' mice, trying to look fit and nice,
See how they were shun, see how they had fun,
All three grumpy and full of strife,
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife?
Did you ever see such a thing in your life,
As three ol' mice?
