That's an Olive Grass snake (Psammophis mossambicus). Even though they are venomous the venom is not considered dangerous to humans. It's quite sad to see how many dead ones are seen in the KNP!

I will try to get one - at this moment the snake was still alive....10 seconds later a car drover over it without taking a single look :( - although we were standing next to the snake and made pics of it....
