I did a recount of my Kruger list on my BirdPhoto Organizer program (I recently build in a nice listing feature, thank goodness for that!) and I am only on 300. As a matter of fact, I reached 300 during my most recent visit to Kruger earlier this month.

African Pygmy-Goose was 299.
And Shelley's Francolin was 300.

I have photographed 293 of those 300 birds in Kruger. The ones I am missing photos of are:

Eastern Nicator
Common Cuckoo
African Wood-Owl
Barn Owl
Fiery-necked Nightjar
Horus Swift
Steppe Eagle
668
Latest Lifer(s): Buff-spotted Flufftail, Tree Pipit, Dimorphic Egret, Lesser Jacana, Citrine Wagtail, Black-tailed Godwit

Can't open the spreadsheet with my Kruger total on. Will have to assemble it again. :wall:

Hi All

Jenny and I have visited Kruger from the UK 6 times now, but always in August so not the very best time for birding!

Do I get a “handicap” for this?

Our last trip in Aug. 2011 had a total of 173 in 16 days. Is this a “respectable” number?

It could be 174 but I’m not sure of possible Wood Sandpiper! :wall:

My total for all trips list is 237 or 238 if I can get that possible Wood Sandpiper turned into a definite.
