Kruger Flood update as at 09:00 on 27 March 2012

At Balule the campsite has reopened and the hut section is being repaired and still closed
Tamboti has reopened as a number of tents are operational. However, a large portion of the camp remains closed and tents are to be replaced.

The full update can be found here.

Hello All
We have a booking at Biyamati.
Which ways are open (from south, Crocodile Bridge (best for us) or Malane Gate) to reach Biyamati.
Thank you for the answers

Just to confirm that the camping section will open by 20 March 2012 and the plan is still to have the hut section ready for business by 1 April 2012.

Bigstrontium, Switzerland,

Hi bigstrontium

I don't know when you are booked in at Biyamiti, but you should enter through Malelane Gate as, for the moment, you cannot get to Biyamiti via Crocodile Bridge without a very long journey. We are going in June and have been told that the causeway on the road from Crocodile Bridge will not have been repaired by then. have a great time in the park!

Bert , how confident are you ? See below .

Camps open

Bateleur, Berg- en- Dal, Biyamiti, Crocodile Bridge, Letaba (Day visitors swimming pool closed), Lower Sabie (except 6 tents), Malelane, Maroela, Mopani, Olifants, Orpen, Pretoriuskop, Punda Maria, Roodewal, Sable Dam Sleepover Hide, Shimuwini, Shingwedzi, Shipindane Hide, Sirheni, Skukuza & Talamati, Tsendze.
At Balule the campsite has reopened but the hut section is being repaired and still closed.
Tamboti has reopened as a number of tents are operational. However, a large portion of the camp remains closed and tents are to be replaced.

Okie
You can camp in the campsite but not stay in the huts (closed due to repairs) at Balule. Thats the way I read it.

As stated Balule is open for business or rather pleasure...

We were there from the 21st March for 4 nights. Absolutely magic as always.
First 2 nights it was us and one other couple and the remaining two nights only 3 groups....Was so peacefull.
