Are giraffes seen in KTP during early November? I've read on here that they can be seen, but I'm not sure where abouts in the park and at what time of year.

Yes. Up around Mata Mata usually -- down the Auob as far as Kamqua -- and usually all year round although sometimes only early morning and late afternoon.

@htid,

The giraffes normally hang out near Mata-Mata and the reason being that is where the boma is where they were kept when they were relocated back into the park. Any specie tends to stay in the area where they have been put in a boma.

Tracks of the giraffe has been found as close as south of Houmoed (Where the dune road meets the Auob Riverbed) and they have also been see just north of Kij Kij waterhole.
